| Women In Music is a female based unplugged series put on since November of 2007. With performances by solo artists, duos, and smaller bands - Women In Music showcases both energetic and diverse styles of various female musicians in Milwaukee and it’s surrounding areas. Genres range from acoustic based rock, folk, alternative, indie, funk, pop, neo-soul and more. One of the true highlights of the series is having the opportunity to catch typically full electric acts stripping down their sound, embracing crisp/laid back acoustic grooves. Each show features Roxie Beane and two other acts, each of them performing an hour set. Currently, the shows are being put on every other month. Future interest and demand may push the shows into a more frequent basis of once a month.
